About Me
Travel has been a lifelong passion of mine.
Long before I became a travel advisor, I worked as a chef and food writer, careers that shaped the way I travel today. Food remains one of my favorite ways to understand a destination, its culture, history, and people.
I’ve also been an avid traveler since my teenage years, always drawn to discovering new cultures, cuisines, and experiences.
Over the years, that curiosity has taken me to 65 countries across six continents, from luxury hotels and world-class restaurants to tiny family-run guesthouses and unforgettable local experiences.
More than ten years ago, I started Little Travelers Notebook as a way to document my travels and keep track of recommendations for friends and family. What began as a personal travel journal gradually became a resource that people regularly turned to when planning their own trips. Again and again, I found myself researching destinations, recommending hotels, suggesting restaurants, and helping others create memorable journeys.
In 2025, I decided to turn that passion into a profession and launched Amy Baker Travel in partnership with Fora Travel.
Today, I combine decades of personal travel experience with the resources, relationships, and industry connections of a modern luxury travel agency. Through partnerships with some of the world’s most exceptional hotels, from iconic brands such as Four Seasons, Rosewood, Belmond, and Mandarin Oriental to collections like Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Leading Hotels of the World, I am often able to secure valuable benefits and VIP recognition for my clients at no additional cost.
